Not every bad morning needs a tow. A jump start or an unlock can put you back on the road in the time it takes a truck to reach you, and that is usually the cheaper answer for everyone.
We come out 24 hours a day across Chicago and the nearby suburbs. If it turns out the problem is bigger than a jump, the truck that came to you is already a tow truck.

Jump starts
A battery that clicks, cranks slowly or does nothing at all is the single most common call we get, and winter in Chicago makes it worse. We will get a jump on it and get the engine running.
Be straight with yourself about what happens next: if the battery is finished, or the alternator is the real problem, the engine will die again once we disconnect. Say the word and the same truck will take it to a shop instead of leaving you to find out in a parking lot a mile away.
Lockouts
Keys sitting on the driver's seat behind a locked door is a bad five minutes, and it happens to careful people. Call and tell us the year, make and model.
Some vehicles open quickly and some do not — newer ones in particular. We would rather tell you that on the phone than after you have stood on the sidewalk waiting. If opening it is not realistic, we will say so and we can tow it instead.
When it turns out to be more than roadside
Flat tire, overheating, a car that starts but will not move, a warning light you do not like the look of — call and describe it. We will tell you whether that is a roadside call or a tow.
We are not going to send a truck out to do nothing. If what you need is a shop, we will take you to one.
